Pearl Harbor (short version) (1942)

★★★★ · Looks like pretty shameless propaganda · Ryan Hennessy · 2004-04-07

Despite the message, this is a well-done collage. The only soundtrack is bombs, gunfire, and warning sirens. The film is bookended by black screens and the noises. In between the black screens are some pretty awful images of war. Watching it, I couldn't help but feel a little bit panicked.

This is a combination of clips (Ken Smith perhaps?) of various WWII propaganda films. Using a soundtrack of bombs dropping (usually), this film is quite an impressive combo of images and sounds from the war (although it does appear that some of the sounds were made instudio) GREAT editing here too. I'd love to find out more info about this! Reccomended

★ · Dumb war video clip · Medon Decker · 2003-01-27

This one contains no message, at least I can't see it. It just puts scary shot after shot. The short film shows some scenes from the Japanese attack, mixed with some takes from American bombing runs, German StuKas... just a horror video clip. No Narrator.
