Synopsis
Sandy Doyle, gambler and political chief of a small border town, seeks to gain control of the Bar-X Ranch, owned by Rufe Rickson, to further some undercover activities of his own. He counts on Rickson's inability to stay away from gambling as the means to his ultimate success. Dorothy Page made three singing cowgirl Westerns for Grand National Pictures in late 1938/1939. This one is the missing one. I have the other two on file and have had them in one form or another for over 25 years. This is probably the best of the lot, which isn't saying much, but it gets the job done as far a western goes in a tight 55 minute picture. Why Ms. Page didn't make any more film appearances is open to conjecture simply because she could sing, ride and act fairly well and a lot of those type films were being made then, and for some time to come.
