Dorothy Page, the first and last of the singing cowgirls. Well, maybe, I'm not sure about that claim. Certainly the first but then there Dale Evens later. Dorothy Page made three movies and this is a good one, lots of action, simple plot, not too many songs. The bad corporate type steals the water from Silver Creek and Dorothy gets it back despite overwhelming odds and an justice system that is ineffectual. Words and music by Al Sherman, Walter Kent, and Milton Drake, so the songs are good and fit in with the scenes, I liked it.

One very slow moving western about the attempt by bad guys to block off the water needed by the cattlemen and then buy them out cheaply. Dorothy Page helps slow things down by singing three forgettable songs. Dave O'Brien is good for the little he brings to this sleeper. The movie is carried by perennial villains Stanley Price, leering, oily smile and manner, who has larceny written all over his face, Edward Gordon, one of Price's henchmen and Edward Pell, Sr. as Pierce's lawyer. There might be 20 minutes of movie worth viewing - fast forward as necessary. Should get 1 star, but it gets 2…
