Synopsis
Riot in Cell Block 11 is a 1954 American prison thriller film noir directed by Don Siegel, produced by Walter Wanger, and starring Neville Brand, Emile Meyer, Frank Faylen, Leo Gordon and Robert Osterloh. If one saw "Brute Force" by Jules Dassin, with Burt Lancaster (wonderful picture), the comparison is luminos : with Don Siegel, it's austerity and emotion of truth, a so different feeling than the amazing aesthetical beauty of the so well built, conducted and interpretated masterwork of Jules Dassin. Guess you just have to see both. it's like a day, sun and moon, dark and light, night and daytime -- both are the reality.
