Synopsis
Sky Bandits, also known as Renfrew of the Royal Mounted in Sky Bandits, is a 1940 American action film directed by Ralph Staub and released by Monogram Pictures, starring James Newill, Louise Stanley, Dewey Robinson and William Pawley. The film is a remake of the film Ghost Patrol (1936) with a musical/action formula, similar to the format of the "singing cowboy" films of the era.

You might think so after watching this loopy adventure. The Royal Canadian Mounties fly low with James Newill and Dave O'Brian. Too bad it's right into a dopy plot about radio beam death rays. To say it makes absolutely no sense is a weak under statement. Dwight Frye is temporarily on board as a psychotic, rabbit-loving scientist. This one would have been barely suitable for kiddy matinee audiences. All others beware. BTW it is an approximate remake of "Ghost Patrol" [1936], which is available here at IA. Seven minutes are missing. Adequate video and audio. Probably a tape transfer.
