Synopsis
After his best friend and war buddy is mysteriously gunned down, Mike Hammer will stop at nothing to settle the score for the man who sacrificed a limb to save his own life during combat. Along the way, Hammer rides a fine line between gumshoe and a one-man jury, staying two-steps ahead of the law—and trying not to get bumped off in the process.

If you like your heroes brutal, get in the first punch, make it with all the beautiful women - evidently, the only kind involved in criminal enterprises - then you'll get a real kick out of Biff Elliot's portrayal of Mike Hammer. I haven't read any Mickey Spillane stories, but evidently this Mike Hammer is close to Spillane's original. The title says it all - Hammer is angry enough to kill the culprit and has little use for the police, or politeness. He breaks into homes when he isn't otherwise admitted, browbeats whoever he has gone to question, threatens them if need be, beats up hit squads…
