About a month after the completion of "A Romance Of The Redwoods", Cecil B. DeMille began production on this film "The Little American" with Mary Pickford and Paramount's new star Jack Holt, who had already made a half-dozen films since arriving in late 1916, and co-starring as a young French officer was Raymond Hatton in a most effective role.
