Very nice location San Francisco shots at North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, from LaFayette Park, and the Golden Gate Bridge and at Fort Point. Decent if predictable story with good acting.

i think The Man who cheated Himself might have been the first movie i watched when I discovered this Film Noir site. I think some one said it was predictable - im not so sure. Nonetheless, as Film Noir it was entertaining and enjoyable.There's woman (femme fatale),a man who wants the woman, and the thing - the drama that keeps them apart. There is suspense, but not a thriller. the drama is bit more fatalistic than I thought it would be. I really dig noir - so Im not sure I will find any "bad" Film Noir (after all that's part of the charm). I say check it out- and enjoy it as a good watch for…
