Synopsis

Baby John Wayne takes backseat to silent star Buck Jones in this cheapie. The plot is typical range war/murdered rancher fare that had to be cliche even in 1931. Buck Jones must find the murderer to save his buddy John--a simpering ingenue in his first scenes!--from hanging. Buck is a big old guy and looks the part, but we can understand why he was more of a silent than a talkies star. He died in the 1942 Cocoanut Grove fire, God rest his soul.
