Synopsis
Test pilot Alexei Kolchin is the first to fly a new jet aircraft and report its flaws to the designers. The first tests succeed, but he is killed in an accident during later work on the plane; his friend Sergei Sharov studies Kolchin's recorded notes and makes a second attempt.

I was glued to this film and I could sense what was going on completely. This film in a way bridges the gap between America and Russia with the humor, the love of man and woman for each other and the humor among compatriots striving for excecellence is air superiority. I found the film throughly enjoyable and the actors with their facial expressions carried the film for me to an exciting evening.
