Synopsis
Documentary about the construction of the Stilwell Road--originally called The Ledo Road--a 478-mile passage from Assam, India, to Ledo, Burma, during World War II. The road, which was built by 63,000 workers and cost $150 million, was used by the British, Chinese and Indian armies to transport supplies, troops and other essentials from India to Burma in order to keep the Japanese from overrunning the entire theater.

narrated by ronald reagan i believe, going from the sound of the voice only mind you, this is a sure fire documentary. sure fire, but in fact one will only get out of this hour or so what one puts in to it. it is not an easy story to tell, and you have to be patient and understanding of the situation that is being faced both in historical and social contexts. one thing is certain though. if you can watch this film and come away wanting to fight in an army or fly operations in an air force, you will find a fight somewhere.

The film depicts, how a group of committed people can achieve the goal if they try hard and had an undefeated attitude. They worked in treacherous terrain and made a road that was termed as a lifeline but now it is forgotten.
