A nicely formed B - which seems to benefit from the cramped nature of the sets - externals are few and fair between and well formed pacing. Adding this to your collection of "B"'s you really can't go wrong. I am giving it 5 stars as a "B", which obviously is not the same as 5 stars for an "A" . Not a masterpiece, but more than a mere distraction.

I love this picture! I love a movie that doesn't have any pretensions about itself and this one is as humble and self knowing as they come. Im really excited by its honesty and pathos, symmetry as a picture story. Might I add a 'thank you' at this late date?

Not a true Film Noir but still very good movie. Enjoyed when Johnny realized win lose or draw it's time to fight the bully back. Hopeful conclusion to the movie won't say much more as i don't want to rat out the ending. Hakuna

I have read the reviews, and I beg to differ. I was watching the clock before the half way point and it didn't get any better. Why was Auers character even in there?
