A different and rewarding role for Chuck Connors as he plays an over-the-top psychopath in this movie. Don Ross gives an above average performance as does Regina Gleason. The plot becomes more suspenseful as the movie progresses. Some surprises are in store for the viewer toward the end of the movie.

A fascinating mid-50s b-noir oddity, written and directed by Wyott Ordung, the man who wrote the early 50s sci-fi b-gems ROBOT MONSTER and TARGET EARTH and directed Roger Corman's MONSTER FROM THE OCEAN FLOOR. Worth watching for the unusual story, interesting visuals, and a pre-Rifleman Chuck Connors.

Many comments point to the movie not being "believable" The movie wasnt made in 2019. today, everything is expected to be "believable" in some kinda "it could happen" platform. If not, then it has to be totally out the pocket like a blue Genie, or Fighting alians or something. Can a movie be a movie? A godd story, without all the "reality tv" expectations of today? why review a movie made in 1956 if youre looking of r the "guy next door" level acting of 2019

Chuck Connors is an excellent actor. He could have used a better supporting cast. The lead female actress' performance was rather corny and lame.

While it was at least entertaining, and I really loved seeing the shots of old Hollywood/Los Angeles (trying to recognise the streets and such- tricky, as I was born 9 years after this was made) there are just too many glaringly unlikely things happening here. Turn off your logical mind, then you can enjoy this for what it is.
