★★★★ · Teenage Beer Hall? · JayKay49 · 2012-01-21

Until the very end I could swear those longnecks were beers and those were chilly glasses. Maybe its me, but that place looks like it smelled of beer..just had that look. And then the two of them looking at times like they were on the verge of tears, both of 'em...and that arguing in raised voices at the end of the film. But it was near the end that they finally panned down far enough to reveal that those were bottles of 7 UP. I was fooled all along. That girl cousin looks a lot like Kelly on Married With Children but with much less acting talent. One National Merit scholar in the whole…

★★★ · Bob Corby died for your sins! · dynayellow · 2003-09-04

Presents the dopey story of Jim relating to his hot, hot, hot cousin his thoughts on why Lawrence High School has the best kind of school spirit. Apparently, it requires the captain of your basketball team to offer himself up as a sacrifice. Sally rejects this idea, pointing out that other schools have had successful sports seasons without someone dying of cancer.

★★★ · The desecration of Bob Corbys name · Spuzz · 2005-09-04

Somewhat boring treatment about school spirit (!!). Jim takes his cousin Sally to the local soda shop so that she can find out all about why Lawrence High School has such tremendous school spirit. The reason, one Bob Corby, who, at a school pep rally rallies the troops to no end. But oh no! Bob Corby soon gets sick, and the school team rallies around this, winning the championship for Bob! We can thank our school spirit thanks to Bob! But wait a minute! In an interesting turn of events, Sally said that Bob didnt have everything to do with the schools mood upswing! You did it by…

★★ · He's Dead. Get Over Him. · Dodsworth the Cat · 2022-07-25

With the Capitol Hi-Q music library swelling in the background to end this picture, getting lost in the message is the plot which has two cousins arguing about a dead teenager and school spirit. Yup, happens all the time. We watch the melodramatic scene of a bedridden boy with his trophy, be told he's dead, only to have the girl write him off. Cuz, let me diss your dead bro. an entire film audience feels sorry for. How old are these people anyway? The doofus who interrupts the two at the start looks like he's 30. He must be a real dope if he hasn't finished high school. More library music…

★★ · Melodramtic · ERD · 2006-05-25

This 1950's film about school spirit is melodramatic and mediocre. Still, the acting and direction is well done.
