Synopsis

This is without doubt one of the best adventure films for kids made in the postwar period. It is also a valuable documentary for adult Australians. Shot in & around the Burogorang Valley, SW of Sydney, most of the low country landscape that you see now lies underwater, part of the Warragamba Dam catchment. The character of Neza - the Aboriginal kid - also marks the turnabout that was about to come in relations between Koori & non-Koori in Australia. He is an asset from start to finish.
