Border Patrolman was actually a very enjoyable flick but Polly Ann Young is absolutely beautiful and captivating. Watch the movie just to see this stunning lady.

While this film has stalwart western star George O'Brien and Smiley Burnette,in an early loan out from Mascot/Republic, this is not really a western. It's a nineteen-thirties era drawing room comedy with a little crime and action tossed in for good measure, set at a dude ranch to give it a western motif. It's a Polly Ann Young picture first and foremost, if you can take her style. O'Brien plays his role with a certain light charm that was second nature to him. George O'Brien (Bob Wallace) is a Border Patrolman who comes across Polly Ann Young (Patricia Huntley) and LeRoy Mason (Courtney Maybrook) smoking in a no smoking zone. When his superior lets Young talk her way out of guilt, he quits the service/ Then he's hired by Young's father to tame her - when he finds he's overdone that, he quits. Temper, temper - and he finds he's falling in love after she slaps him.
