Synopsis
Muggs' rich Uncle Pete is coming to visit. Unfortunately, Muggs' late father had bragged that he had seven kids, so Muggs recruits the members of the gang to pose as his family. Things turn sour, however, when a local mobster finds out about Muggs' deception and threatens to expose it.

Really enjoyable, brisk comedy that moves right along. Look for Bernard Gorcey in the opener as a cranky shop or saloon owner. He did cameos in many of these before becoming Louie in the later Bowery Boys series. Amelita Ward became Leo's 3rd wife and mother to Leo Gorcey jr. Funny to see Billy Benedict (aka Whitey, Skinny) as rival gang leader Butch. Gabriel Dell had been drafted so another actor was brought in to play the gangster role. This also establishes that the gang or their clubhouse is on Clancy St.

These East Side Kids movies are so clever! This isn't one of the better ones, but it's still top-notch. The last line of the movie is too funny.

One of my favorites in the series, We stay in the streets of NYC and stick with a central plot. Bowery Boys/East Side Kids just get better with the years.
