Crawford and Ford were magnificent in this film as expected. Glenn Ford is in prison for accidentally killing an aggressive lout who insulted a woman he was dancing with. Broderick Crawford at his best in this film as the DA who prosecuted him. Crawford eventually becomes warden, on his way up the political ladder, of the prison where Ford is imprisoned and feels he should help him out if he can. I love these guys. Both of them fine actors. Cast is excellent all the way thru.
