Two sides firing weapons at each other. Next question. OK, more on the film. There's some nice, clean footage, though the cynic in me wonders if some of this was shot from training exercises, considering cameras are firmly planted on the shore and grinding away as the soldiers land. Certainly the camera shots of the dead are real. We hear sounds of ricocheting bullets that could have come from an old Western. "Japs are Japs," says the implying, dismissive narrator. Americans are "civilized." "They" aren't. Oh, and America has the Greatest Navy. Someone should tell the Brits that. As a bonus…
