I'll Name the Murderer (1936)

I seem to be in a minority but I thoroughly enjoyed this film which I thought a very entertaining who-dunnit. The characters are quickly established, then the narrative unfolds at a fair pace, with enough twists and turns to hold my interest throughout. I thought the cast solid. The 256 mpeg4 download, converted to DVD, was good quality This would be in my top 5 of films I've watched from archive.org.

I adored this movie. I think Agnes Anderson (who I can find little information about, she died in 2008) was beautiful and she had a good voice (if it was hers!) It was nice to see a busty, curvy lady in a 1930s flick!

I can't be as generous as the last reviewer. This is a high society murder mystery, being solved by a high society gossip columnist with a little help from a girl reporter, but don't be expecting William Powell and Myrna Loy. The acting is generally poor to match the screenplay and directing. If you want a movie you can walk away from, make a sandwich maybe, and then return to without missing anything this is your show. I watched the mpeg1. It was fairly washed out and the darker scenes were pixelated. The audio is hissy throughout and voices are sometimes clipped, making dialogue hard to…
