Synopsis
Tom gets in trouble when his mother finds a joint in his room. Instead of punishing Tom, his father challenges him to learn more about marijuanas evil effects on society.

Al Checco, who played the studio boss in Blake Edwards "The Party",as well as a host of other tv and film roles, plays the Dad in this. It's not listed on his IMDB entry, though. Just thought I'd point that out :) Anyway, great film to light one up to.

Anyone see the guy, "Jim", being busted? First of all, his real name is Bob. It was HIS mother in the beginning (Tom's mom) and that's his real house they used. AS a matter of fact, the producer is Bob's 'uncle' Sid. I'm Bob, "HI Bob!!", and I have to respond to these reviews with a resounding, RIGHT ON!!!. My uncle was a wonderful guy, very energetic and productive. He was also an egomaniacal hypocrite. The definitive anti-grass film! Young Tom (who's so brilliant he wears white while working on his car's engine) has a talk with his Dad, after Mom accidentally discovers his stash. While lighting up a cigarette, Dad tells Tom of the dangers of pot smoking. Tom decides to go out into the world and find out the truth. The same anti-pot propaganda as always, but in a corny fun way. I don't live in the USA, i live in Sweden and pot is illegal here too, and the same arguments is used here too. I for one have smoked pot now and then without becoming a criminal junkie, and i wish the politicians would come to their senses and legalize it.
