Synopsis
In the bordertown of San Pablo, preparing for an annual 'Mexican Fiesta,' arrives Gagin: tough, mysterious and laconic. His mission: to find the equally mysterious Frank Hugo, evidently for revenge; or is it blackmail? FBI agent Retz is also after the elusive Hugo. Everyone in town is enigmatic, especially Pila, a mystical teenager who follows Gagin around and has premonitions of his death. Also involved are a classic femme fatale and an antique carousel with a pink horse...

I really like Montgomery and have come to recognize his abilities as a director/production man. I see now why he got the spot as host of "the Robert Montgomery Hour Presents". This was really well done and has a great supporting cast... Thomas Gomez plays a great part as a fluent Spanish speaking merry-go-round attendant, who helps Montgomery swill tequila, and make a fast getaway or too. The young Native American/Mexicana girl who is be-smitten by Montgomery and who foresees his potential ill-fate is really good too, all are ... see this good film ... 😁
