The 3rd film in the original Universal Frankenstein trilogy, and it's just as good as the other 2. This one benefits from having Bela Lugosi, playing Ygor, and Lionel Atwill as the Inspector. Great fun!

In my opinion, this film is the best in the entire group of Frankenstein/Lugosi spin-offs. A technical tour-de-force if a bit showy, it certainly does the most important thing and ENTERTAINS. if a It is more creative visually, especially the way the architecture is so fractured. The marvelous mood of the initial storm and the control of the sound as characters move indoors and outdoors , below ground etc etc is remarkable. Lugosi seems to act best when he is made up.
