Spoilers could have been a typical Republic drama, with the usual cast of unknowns, pedestrian editing and plodding story line. The shocking treachery of the antagonist, the surprising appearance of women characters as career professionals and the inclusion of an unusual industry could have made for a mildly interesting film. Unfortunately, this film takes a decided turn for the worse in attempting to bring an incredibly ignorant view Alaska's industry and peoples into the story. Republic can be forgiven for filming in Southern California instead of Sitka Alaska, as it's likely the budget…
