I've always been a Jimmy Stewart/June Alyson fan (The Glenn Miller Story, etc.) and this movie is no exception. Very faithful to actual events during the formation of SAC, right down to the Curtis LeMay cigar-smoking stand-in general, the movie showed what it was like to fly both a B-36 and a B-47. Again, very faithful - right down to the B-36's square propeller tips, not round due to bad aerodynamics caused by them in the inboard engines. We had drama, a bit of humor and a truth-based story. I like old planes and old movies and this is no exception. I wish they made movies like this today...
