Synopsis
A Martian invader crashes his spaceship conveniently close to the workshop of a scientist who is developing an interplanetary craft. If the extraterrestrial Purple Monster can complete the rocket ship and return to Mars, he will be able to start a full-scale invasion of Earth. Good thing Craig Foster sets out to thwart the Monster's mission!

This is one of the greatest serials ever. Note that the hero's and villains' hats never come off in the excellently choreographed fight scenes. And if you're from Southern California you'll love the roll played by the Griffith Observatory, I think that's the real interior with the real telescope. Hey; if the Purple Monster wants to keep under cover, how come he doesn't just get a set of earthman clothing? He'd be much less conspicuous.
