The Phantom Creeps: The Menacing Power (1939)

This one is better than most of the serials I've seen (the Green Hornet is almost laughable) as Bela Lugosi is very good as he goes more and more crazy throughout the serials, unfortunately the best ones, like all serials, are the first and last and the ones between were just milking the turkeys. Lots of interesting ideas, many with actual physics behind them, were used to make the mad scientist powerful. It's really light entertainment. The G-Man and his sidekicks destroy as much or more than anybody else in this series, but that hasn't changed much in real life, either.
