It's tiresome with all the arguing but I thought the young people were interesting. Jimmy Lydon stole the limelight with his distinctive voice and mannerisms. Freddie Bartholmew had an oddly shaped head and didn't even try for an accent to match the story. The young ladies did a reasonable job. The acting had energy and enough skill that I wouldn't call it wooden but I have to say it was all one note and that got tedious. I was hoping for a surprising ending but no, not even that. So on the whole I'd say it's not the worst movie I've ever seen so I have to give it two stars. It's dull but I…
