This movie had promise, but the script really needed to be tightened up. Too many slow and unnecessary scenes. The acting was not bad. Martha Vickers makes a good rotten chick. Production values were ok. Direction was sub-par. I got sick of the constant playing of the song that the lead guy wrote and which became a "hit". The worst thing about this film is the odd ending. The movie should have ended at the courtroom climax, but instead had one more scene that just leaves you scratching your head. I suspect that some scenes were edited out which resulted in continuity problems. There still…
