I must say that I was quite shocked on how much I enjoyed this western. In my opinion It's quite above par for most of the b-westerns that's already here and I enjoyed it very much.

I agree with jeffzkrazie that this is better than most westerns and Bob Steele western because of the rather original plot charged with a little more emotion than is usual, with some nice twists and turns, decent script, and above average acting. Steele is his usual straight arrow self displaying his riding skills, quick draw prowess and fist fighting ability. Ted Adams (Wolf Whitson aka Pop Whittaker) - usually a bad guy - is one here, but with a tender side - an unusually complex characterization and good outing for him. ...mainly because the plot was more complex and less predictable than in the average Western. This is a story about two men who become close friends because of how they wind up on the wrong side of the law, but for the right reasons. It is definitely not your cut-and-dried, "white hats vs. black hats" sort of movie, but a little closer to the way that real life sometimes works. There are a few surprises, too, as some of the characters turn out not to be who they seemed, at first. Well written, and well played by a very good cast.
