yet the movie is disturbing at times but it is such a great classic for a low budget. the bath scene with the piranhas was very unsettling.

Theme: escaped psycho murderkids on the rampage causing havoc amongst unsuspecting and not too bright adults. Poorly edited and directed, inconsistent and contradictory script, bad sound, bad camerawork. But with good acting of especially Gene Evans and of course the always convincing Sorrell Brooke. Some of the murders are quite inventive, others prepostorous in their staging. My favorite scene at about 38:45 (Leif Garett to Sorrell Brooke): "Grey is a lovely color. NO! THIS IS NOT A CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE BY ANY MEANS! But, it doesn't suck balls either! You just have to watch it for yourself. If you are a fan of psychological horror, this is a definite must. Also keep in mind that this was just remade in 2014/15, or somewhere around that time. It is called "The Children", and is much more gory.

The adult characters in this movie are painfully dumb, how they hadn't already died by accident long before they made it to this mountain lodge is the most unbelievable part of the movie. Save your time, there are plenty of other fun horror movies on the Archive.
