Synopsis
A beautiful female doctor visits her small hometown on her way back to Chicago. Her overworked uncle, who is the town's doctor, wants her to stay and help him, and he and a macho test pilot who's fallen for her come up with a plan that involves the pilot faking an illness and being treated by her, with her uncle's "help".

Nonsense, but charming nonsense. Lesser screwball comedy (the script isn't quite as tight as classics like "The Lady Eve" or "Bringing up Baby" the screwball antics don't quite take off to the extent of other pictures) but all the actors commit to the nonsense and are fun to watch. The snapshot of post-war surburban America is worth it alone. As another reviewer noted, a perfectly pleasant diversion for a rainy / cold night.

The description of this movie sounded like something I would like, so I took a chance on downloading it and watched it. It turned out to be a nice little romantic comedy, with several faces I recognized. Charlie Ruggles is always fun to watch. The three Private Smith's have interesting first names, so listen and try to catch them. Overall, I found it a highly entertaining piece of movie making and would recommend it to anyone wanting to see a witty movie without the modern profanities and sexual situations that never do anything to further the plot along. This movie kept me guessing right…
