Synopsis
Dr. Lawrence Baxter, working with the Bureau of Pure Foods and Drugs, uses radio broadcasts to expose a number of fraudulent patient medicines, with his bitterest attacks being aimed at Kennedy Radium Products the manufacturer of a tonic called 'Radium Rejuvenating Tablets," which Baxter claims is a slow cause of death. This leads the manufacturer to try every means to defeat and discredit the young doctor.

Not a bad film at all. Considering it's a low budget film, interesting to see outdoor photography in some scenes. Always pleasant to see the cars of the day, even if one of them is wrecked.

A handsome doctor (more brave than smart) as a hero fighting against quack doctors selling dangerous drugs, a love story, blackmail, kidnapping, these are the ingredients of this short film. The male lead acts well, the female lead acts as if she has taken a sleeping pill. I was not able to believe her emotions.

With the movie 'Radium Girls' addressing the misuse of Radium, no combination of keywords will find this film. Why it was still relevant in 1937 amazes we of the 21st century. Wasn't Radium known to be deadly in the 1920s? It was a plot point of 'Nothing Sacred'. (Sorry if this isn't about the movie so much about the quackery the movie is based on.)
