This 1934 movie is dated, but if one is familiar or interested in that era, they will find this comedy-drama entertaining. Ray Walker is the star and does an excellent job. Jaqueline Wells is also good as the singer that he falls in love with. The character actor, Charley Grapevine has a supporting role. Joseph Stanley directed this B film nicely.

I watched the whole thing hoping that it would somehow redeem itself, but for me - it did not. It was something about the despicable main character (I mean, I guess that's the type they were going for and he must be a good actor, because I very much wanted to push him in front of the train and poison his pancakes...) and my just not feeling the whole storyline.
