Synopsis
Invasion of the Animal People is a 1959 Swedish-American black-and-white science fiction-monster film released to Swedish cinemas on August 19, 1959. The film was produced by Bertil Jernberg and Gustaf Unger, directed by American Virgil W. Vogel, and stars Barbara Wilson, Robert Burton, and Stan Gester. Written by Arthur C. Pierce, the film had most of its dialogue in English.

Filmed largely in Lapland, northern Sweden, this film was likely funded by the swedish government to bring in foreign currency from the UK and USA. That's just a guess. It's a padding festival. The filmmakers took every opportunity to show skiing, walking, or any other activity that could fill time, as there really isn't much of a story here. A spaceship lands in Lapland. Scientists investigate. Monster causes some carnage and destruction, and is killed by angry Lapp villagers à la Frankenstein. Spaceship leaves.
