Unusual for giant space monster with vaginal mouth orifice to swallow and digest children in movies from this era...I was a little taken aback by that...even if the guy with the guitar tried a Peter Townsend on the beast to defend them. Speaking of music, the soundtrack/music, much of which sounds like ill conceived caucasian Sun Ra was enjoyable. And there was some nice advice about the benefits of marriage as well.

Definitely one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I kept waiting for it to improve; it didn't. (Note to budding filmmakers: if you want to stop a story dead in its tracks, be sure to include a lecture on the benefits of marriage.) On the other hand, you might want to track down "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra." Deliberately cheesy and inept (and hilarious), it nails all of the '50s sci-fi clichés.
