Whatever any of us may think of this film, at least these guys took the initiative, reached deep into their own pockets, put their money where their mouths are, and MADE A FILM. That to me is worth four stars right there. Tor is worth one by himself, so that makes for five stars. Huzzah! :)

This indeed is the longest available print of this film, and it's rather quaint now to think that the topless scene at the start (which has nothing to do with the rest of the film) was ever censored. There's doubtless many who'd keep the opening but discard the rest of the movie. It has to be one of the most inept pieces of cinema ever made. For starters, the director didn't trust his cast with dialogue, so no-one talks on camera, or dialogue is heard from so far out that you can't tell no one is talking. In fact, the thing was shot mostly silent, with a pompous voiceover added for…

There's something about the narration to this movie that I find captivating. Much of it has only a tenuous connection to the action on screen. Some of it is laugh out loud funny ("Touch a button. Things happen."), but some of it is borderline non sequitur, which is funny in a different way. If you want a film with Cold War paranoia and a quirky presentation, check this out.

Friends, there are two kinds of people in this world: those who understand within their viscera and psyche why this movie is immeasurably more evocative at a 2 a.m. viewing than anything James Cameron has done, and those who do not. If you're remotely interested and as you're an oddball to even be looking at this on the Internet Archive site, I recommend it for existential somnambulist Bunuel type viewing. There is an enhanced version on youtube.

Like many others, I came to see a film that was labeled among the worst and have the experience. I've seen other "worst of all" movies on the archive, and I legitimately can say that this is the worst. The plot doesn't add up (at least Manos does), no acting (with everybody talking off the camera), and no pace, making this movie longer than Titanic, even though it's less than an hour. If you like bad movies, or just have in you to see the worst of all, or you were just masochist, then you might give this whatchamacallit a try. otherwise avoid and move to another film and don't look back.

The producers of this insult weren’t enthusiastic novices who tried to make the best movie they could on a limited budget. They were talent-less guys who tried to cash in on the drive-in market by slapping together an hour of film at the lowest possible cost. The inane narration was written by some pompous ass with an ignoramus's view of the world. The film itself is a barely coherent mess. The end result is mind-numbing tedium. I hope Tor Johnson got paid. As a lover of B-movies in general and so-bad-they're-good flicks in particular. believe me when I say this one isn't worth your time.…
