You Know, a confession here, I actually like these type of amateur home movies rather then the Medicus ones.. Why? Because in these. And with the Colaci rolls as well, there¡¯s actual families in them, you get to go on vacation with them! With the Medicuses. We were left trying to figure out who the Medicuses were and whether they were even having a good time. That my brother and I were packed off to Alamagordo New Mexico and took a similar tour with aunt,uncle, and cousin in summer of '56 or '57. Went to 3 of the places in this film. Brought back the memories indeed. And, as a teacher of media (was - chemistry currently) I am very interested in material like this. Totally cool

I found the film nostalgic because it was made in the 1950's, but like many home movies, it did drag a little for me.

If you find watching other peoples family videos exciting then this is the film for you!! Not for me! Although I did find it amusing when you consider this was fimed entirely by an amatuer home filmaker. It gives you an authentic feel for 1950's America (no actors, scripts of other ficticous material). I just got tired of seeing that bratty little girl waving at the camera over and over.
