Synopsis
The Leopard Man is a 1943 American horror film directed by Jacques Tourneur, and starring Dennis O'Keefe, Jean Brooks, and Margo. Based on the book Black Alibi by Cornell Woolrich, it follows a series of violent murders in a town in New Mexico, which coincide with the escape of a leopard from a nightclub.

A suspenseful murder mystery - unless you've seen a lot of these, in which case the identity of the murderer is rather obvious. Dennis O'Keefe gives his character just the right edge as the conscience stricken promoter who got his client to interrupt a dancer's act by walking into the club with a black leopard on a leash. When the dancer naps her castanets and stamps her feet at the beast, it becomes scared and runs away. And, "death by leopard" becomes the standard police report as three young women are killed. The beautiful Jean Brooks gives a fine performance as his client and love is both…
