Synopsis
Officer John Brown is after the outlaw known as the Night Rider. Posing as Jim Blake he takes a job on the Rogers ranch. He finds the secret passage from the Rogers mine to the Rogers house used by the Night Rider and also a note written by the Night Rider to his henchmen. Practicing his hand writing, he has a plan to trap him.

Good western mystery plot, nevertheless the solution should be obvious to most. It is missing 18 minutes - but still okay. Harry Carey is good as the undercover lawman. George "Gabby" Hayes is good as his new found "lieutenant." Elinor Fair is okay as the attractive obligatory woman in the story; so is extra added attraction, exotic Nadja as a saloon dancer and ranch maid. Not bad for a film missing so much footage.
