John Miljan does a splendid job carrying this mystery film. There are several wonderful performances by character actors that add depth to it as well. Crooks try to steal $200k in bonds. They mistakenly kidnap a famous crook who resembles the bonds' owner. That crook is the "Sparrow" and he decides to steal the bonds from the crooks. There are twists and turns and mistaken identities weaving in and out of this very well crafted plot. It is just the kind of detective story (no one is killed) that one can watch more than once.
