Synopsis
A New York radio personality travels to the small town of Fernville to oversee a contest to identify retired safecracker Jimmy Valentine, believed to be living there under an assumed name. The close-knit town of upstanding citizens is understandably upset by this venture, all the moreso when some of its citizens begin to be murdered. The radio personality and the local newspaper's young daughter collaborate on solving the murders while revealing Valentine, who has become one of the suspects.

This is a fun movie to watch ! Dennis O'Keefe, cool as ever, aided by a Super-B Film Cast. Sort of a chopped-up copy that sometimes jumps ahead to the next scene...with no set-up. But it's well worth your time to watch it ! Both female leads (Ruth Terry: Adorable ! & Gloria Dickinson: Cool & Sultry !) are perfect ! Ya Gotta Watch This Film ! Jonnie King

it mixes a pretty darn good mystery with some comedy and a little sappy nonsense to find Mr Big.. Enjoyable flick even though the kid (girl) is played a bit to childish in my opinion, but this is 2011 and not 1942 so my opinion doesn't count there. ;)

I did like the streak of decency our not so squeaky clean hero develops. A bit corny, but it WAS 1942 after all. I watched it without regretting having done so. I might have passed on watching it if not for the comments from the other reviewers. I agree with the consensus.

As much a romance as a mystery, even with two murders. Although Dennis O'Keefe is the nominal star and hero, the movie really belongs to Ruth Terry as a small-town young, innocent, effervescent girl with a great body at the eye of the storm. Innocent though she may be, she knows enough to fall in love at first sight with O'Keefe, who already has a love interest his own age in his boss Gloria Dickson. George e. Stone, plays the kind of nasty, but nice when it helps him, crook he usually plays. Its a fast-paced little mystery, replete with two murders and a few good twists, all of which results…
