An enjoyable screwball mystery starring John Beal and Wanda McKay as newlyweds in big-city hotel. Warren Hymer is a frustrated house detective, and Tom Neal is an equally frustrated gangster. It's wedding-night frustration all around caused by a wandering corpse. My favorite line: House Dick: "Do you have your lie detector?" Police Sergeant: "No, my wife is at home." I must admit this romp has changed my opinion of Wanda McKay. John Beal is a light-weight Jack Haley in his characterization, more innocent and naive, but amazingly two-fisted when he is riled. Wanda McKay is great as his equally naive, ditzy newly wed bride and looks great in a slip. Tom Neal is hard and thuggish enough and his henchman are too. Hotel house dick Warren Hymer and Police Sgt. J. Farrell MacDonald are all inept and silly, and thereby propel the film along. And Barbara Pepper is good as a very forward gang…
