Professor John Sylvestus Applegate has been dismissed from his college teaching position for objecting too loudly to the predominant part that football and other sports play in the curriculum, and soon finds himself dead broke when publishers show no interest in the dry material he brings them. Loosely based on "Little Lord Fauntleroy", this movie,starring Dickie Moore, is a heart grabber. Mother runs off to marry a worthless young man who, abandons her before the child is born. Grandfather is embittered and when his daughter returns destitute, and with the child, he exacts revenge,for his 8 yrs of heartache, by allowing the boy to stay but, telling the mother she is to leave, that very night, never to return, nor ask after the boy.
