I recognized a lot of these characters in the film and especially Milburn Stone, oleÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ Doc Adams of TVÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs Gunsmoke playing public enemy # 24. The new public enemy # 21 starring as Killer Dill, I donÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂt know his name and Little Joe always starred as the bad guy in these old moviesÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ canÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂt remember his name either. This is another one of those all star cast shows of yesteryear and their names are soon to be forgotten if we as collectors ever die off heh, heh. The film is set in the Prohibition era ,about 1930. However it was made in 1947 and the actors clothing and the film sets are of 1947. It would have added much interest if the clothing and sets(particularly the night club scene) were authentic 1930. But this is a low budget film and the producers would not have been able to afford such extras. When I see such B Films, I just sit and enjoy the way the story unfolds,in an uncomplicated manner, aided by the skilled filmic technique. I enjoyed this comedy,

There aren't too many really good movies here, but this is one. I was bemused all the way through this fine comedy. The description given for this film is wrong. He is not an exact double for a gangster. A lingerie salesman, tired of being a nice guy and fearful of losing his girl, sees if he can act the tough guy by pretending to be a gangster and trouble ensues. I watched the mpeg1. The audio and video are good.

Great cast of actors who usually play in real gangster /Film Noir pictures, such as Mike Mazurki, Anthony Warde and Ben Welden made this parody even more funny.
