Synopsis
It's bad enough that Clarice Kendall Andrews, Paula's irresponsible sister, comes home from celebrating Mardi Gras and drunkenly mentions that she got married during the festivities. What's worse is the fact that Paula knows that Clarice is still married to an equally irresponsible gigolo. Paula learns that the man Clarice married, Stephen Cormack, has skipped the country and his lawyer, thinking that Paula is Clarice, offers the older woman $5000 to annul the marriage. Paula's lawyer convinces…

This is a delightful movie. Different, original, droll. Two sisters that like each other and a millionaire. Many good characters, the butler Alfred is perfect. Kids are devious, but repenting. Did anyone recognize Commissoner Gordon from the Batman TV series? That's right he played the millionaire husband. Oh sure well before televison was a reality, but why quibble. The direction ,pacing,dialogue, and acting were all first rate. I rather enjoyed the fainting scene with the "fluttering eyelashes".

While under the influence, woman marries a millionaire even though she already has a husband. The millionaire doesn't know his new wife is spoken for, but Woman's sister, gets her out of her jam by acting as her double. Lots of good old-line performers in this one give it a nostalgic interest.
