This movie appears to be a prototype for the Doris Day romantic comedy. The musical track is similar to a cartoon, with the brass 'wah-waaah...' = (uh-oh) type cues. It suffers from not being in Technicolor and the period it was produced is too early. In order for this type of movie to work everything has to be styled to look extremely artificial.

This attempt at romantic comedy features an absurd, disjointed plot that switches gears every ten minutes until you and it can't figure out where it's going. You have to wonder if director Frank Ross had any control of the situation, and if he did, shame on him. Even screwball comedies need to have at the least some element of believibility. This one doesn't. More often silly rather than funny, scenes like the ladies' club lunchin actually are painful to watch.
