Synopsis
Randall is trying to get the Governor impeached so he can take over control of the state. Knowing the Governor and Billy are good friends, he has Billy framed for murder. Fuzzy finds the shell and Billy sees it has a peculiar mark. Now they have to find the owner of that gun.

Buster Crabbe gives another decent performance as Billy the Kid, saddled with another stupid comic performance by Al St. John as Fuzzy Jones. Again, you can't blame St. John - he' just doing what the script and director call for - they're the worst offenders here. The writer, Patricia Harper, has penned a script that is not nearly as silly and controlled by St. John's brand of clumsy comedy as we find in "Wild Horse Phantom" which is just pathetic as a western and subpar as a comedy. Marjorie Manners looks good - that's all that's asked of her. Manners appeared in 18 films between 1941-47…
