Roll Along, Cowboy is a 1937 American Western film directed by Gus Meins. It is based on the 1931 novel The Dude Ranger by Zane Grey, and is the second adaptation of the novel, after the 1934 film The Dude Ranger.

A rather tepid, feel good western with a typical by-the-numbers plot. Its only 54 minutes long, but lots of time gets taken up by Smith Ballew's so-so tenor vocals - like Ballew's character here, they're straightforward, earnest and rather uninteresting. Cecilia Parker makes an attractive love interest. Stanley Fields is the faithful and, for a change, capable sidekick who'd rather be in Chicago. The villains are just oily enough and nasty enough to hiss at. Not required viewing.
