Betty Boop: Poor Cinderella (1934)

This is a wonderful adaptation of the Cinderella story. It stays fairly close to the original story with just a touch of animated whimsy, not too much in they way of overplayed cartoon humor. And Betty Boop is a great Cinderella, and borgeous with red hair. I suspect it's pointed a bit toward the adult audience - Betty's change from her rags to the ball gown is a bit spicy, but in the end she gets her prince. The music was really well done, with actually quite good singers. I never saw this as a child but it's a treat to finally get to see it now.
